I am interested in using publications with awsomecv, curious why is this PR closed without requesting a merge?

These were just changes for my specific use-case (modifying build directories, make directives, etc...) with the PR opened by mistake. You're welcome to use any of those changes currently on my fork but they are not supported for any broader usage.
