Hello, I am using this template to create my CV and I am trying to italicize the scientific names of organisms, but it only seems to be working in some parts of the document. I have tried \emph{} and \textit{} but only some things work. Is there some other approach that I should be using to italicize text that will work throughout the document?
This is how I have formatted the text from the google sheet that I am pulling my CV data into R:
