The vuejs-plugin seems to override some tab spacing settings - eg when set to 2 in webstorm settings, in some cases (eg blow start of for loops) in .vue files tabs still are 4 spaces. May not be a vuejs issue as I'm not a webstorm expert, but something worth testing.
