Master branches may not be stable enough for continuous integration #192

Are there sufficiently compelling benefits to justify building master branches of dependencies with continuous integration? The instabilities within the master branches risk breaking the CI builds, and the current build has been broken for multiple weeks 😔

I'm going to comment out the 12-master job from the build matrix for the time being until the build problems can be addressed.
