I don't have sufficient time to review the material. At a glance and from several pictures, the paper looks to deal with only local execution of transactions. In X2, the idea is to use existing local transaction execution as much as possible and to have additional infrastructure to provide global transaction ACID property throughout the cluster.

Please allow me a bit more to find a time to review the paper.
