Authenticate via browser not working in Chrome #10835

Describe the Issue

With the latest update of Postman version, the authenticate via browser callback is not working in Chrome and IE Edge browser.

Postman for Windows Version 9.15.11 UI Version 9.15.11-ui-220404-0850 Desktop Platform Version 9.15.2 Architecture x64 OS Platform win32 10.0.19043

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Open the authorization tab
  2. Select the environment settings
  3. Select 'Get New Access Token'
  4. Authorize with the login information
  5. Browser authenticates the call and displays message saying redirecting to postman app.
  6. The postman app is stuck on the same screen "Authenticate via Browser"

For me I login on the browser it is successful, i select open in Postman and this popup is appearing again. So it goes to a loop. Only solution seems to be to logout and clear local cache and re-authenticate

Hello, is any update for this issue? I have exactly the same issue as described above.

Postman for Linux Version 9.31.29 UI Version 9.31.29-ui-230508-1053 Desktop Platform Version 9.31.28 Architecture x64 OS Platform linux 6.2.0-35-generic

Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS / Gnome 42.9 / X11

Same issue here. Anyone found a way to fix it? I can get the authentication to work by copying the token from the browser and pasting on Postman, but not ideal.

I do use the same workaround. I.e. manually copy the auth token from the browser (notice I'm on Linux). Didn't find any solution for that :(
