Hi @sryze , do you see the high CPU usage even when there is no pending update of Postman? Are you running some sort of antivirus/security software? How long does the CPU remain high? Seconds? Minutes?
Looks like it was caused by the update like you mentioned - now when I launch Postman this doesn't happen anymore and CPU usage seems normal. I was a little bit wrong initially (I thought it restarted on startup).
Are you running some sort of antivirus/security software?
No, I don't use any anti-virus software.
How long does the CPU remain high? Seconds? Minutes?
It was for at least an hour I think. I left Postman running in the background after it updated. After I killed the ShipIt process, this hasn't happened again.
Same here. I wouldn't say it's a performance issue but a bug though. 100% cpu usage stuck forever even while Postman is closed doesn't sound like a performance issue.
Mac OS Ventura 13.1 on a m1 here.
I saw the same process running and was concerned. I am on MacOS Ventura 13.0 with an m1. 100% CPU utilization and had been running for 49 hours before I noticed it. I did have Postman running, but that still never should have happened
Is there an existing issue for this?
Describe the Issue
I noticed that on my MacBook the ShipIt process from Postman was using 100% CPU for quite a bit of time, causing high battery usage and heating. This happens every time I run the Postman app. Moreover, it keeps running after I quit Postman.
