Postman launches with a blank screen and then closes in Macos Sonoma

Describe the Issue

I'd upgrade my Intel iMac 2019 to macOS Sonoma When I click Postman, it will launch a black screen and then disappear. Please check on it and fix it, Thank you! In macOS Ventura didn't face this issue, just after upgrading to macOS Sonoma faced this issue.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Click Postman
2. Launch Postman in Black Screen
3. Disappear the black screen
4. Nothing is showing

By chance had you changed the "Working directory" setting in Postman? There are some reports of some disk access being restricted for some apps after upgrading to macOS Sonoma.

I just upgraded my iMac and didn't change any settings in Postman. Tried reinstalling Postman still can't open it in macOS Sonoma.

Hi @xuruiray , the issues I am facing are quite different. The postman directly closes it after launching a few second blank screens so I can't click on the menu bar.

Hey everybody, we are unable to reproduce this issue internally on various Sonoma environments, which is slowing this a lot. If we could reproduce, it'd be very easy for us to bisect Electron/Chromium and get to the bottom of it.

In the interest of getting more information and hopefully be able to reproduce, can you share more details about your environments? What Mac models are you running this on? Is it M1, M2, etc? MacBook Pros, iMacs, etc? Any information you can share could potentially help a lot.

My issue was indeed caused by OCLP root patching from this guide for running macOS Sonoma on an unsupported mac. It can launch normally when I reverted the patches.

Other apps not working for me with the patch:

• Microsoft Teams
• Firefox

I think we should keep this issue open because the issue I found is different from the issue that @oslo254804746 is experiencing, since they are using a 2021 M1 macbook.

For me it is working after I disabled the hardware acceleration. It will give a popup window to restart the postman and after that the postman is relaunched and I dont see any white blank page anymore. It works like usual.

there's no error log on Postman's main log(~/Library/Application Supoort/Postman/logs, I found some error log on mac's console, But i'm not sure whether the problem related to this log

@oslo254804746 I think there's a bit of confusion, this issue is about the Postman App loading with a blank screen and then closing; your issue seems to be rather that the application doesn't load the content correctly, but opens and correctly shows the loading icon. Postman on my mac used to work but with an upgrade to Sonoma 14.2.1 it suddenly stopped working.Now it shows the blank black screen nothing gets loaded.I tried command POSTMAN_DISABLE_GPU=true /Applications/Postman.app/Contents/MacOS/Postman to disable GPU .Note - I had install uninstall postman many times.The Postman then restarts but with a blank screen again here's the log -

now i can genrate a certiticate on my own using openssl but then the problem is as soon as i will login it will try to genrate its own certificate and well that fails. So it just doesn't work.

But then when i login again it stops working.

Describe the Issue

I'd upgrade my Intel iMac 2019 to macOS Sonoma When I click Postman, it will launch a black screen and then disappear. Please check on it and fix it, Thank you! In macOS Ventura didn't face this issue, just after upgrading to macOS Sonoma faced this issue.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Click Postman
2. Launch Postman in Black Screen
3. Disappear the black screen
4. Nothing is showing

There is a workaround for this issue that resolve our issue. You can follow the below steps mentioned in url and remove the Postman folder. For Mac Sonoma it worked fine for us. https://support.postman.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410785125271-How-to-remove-local-data

I'm seeing similar error running Postman 3 on Sonoma 14.6 I can only run postman as sudo otherwise I'm getting the white screen.
