Flows not displaying properly & content in flows missing #12575

Open Brodreger opened 8 months ago

Brodreger commented 8 months ago

Is there an existing issue for this?

Describe the Issue

We created a fairly sized flow on the desktop app. Next day the majority of content was gone and could also not been found on the webapp. We assumed it is a once off issue, but it just happened again to our team.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Create a large flow via postman desktop app
  2. Leave the tap open and do other fun things in postman
  3. Close the flow tab
  4. Open flow tab and check if content is still there

Sorry about this. We’re taking a look. Understood that you observed this in both the desktop and web app. Which browser?

Brodreger commented 8 months ago

Hi Rodic,

Thank you so much for your quick response. All our browsers are Chrome (Version 115.0.5790.170 (Official Build) (arm64)).

Thank you for your support!

Améry

@Brodreger we will need the user/team id to investigate this further. Can you open a support ticket and we'll pick it up from there?

Brodreger commented 8 months ago

Hi Rodic,

I just created a support ticket. Sadly I don't have a ticket number. The subject of the request was "Flow's missing after creating on Desktop App".

I'm wishing you a great day ahead and thank you for your support! Améry

I think my problem also belongs in this issue, I keep editing my flows and it saves the first couple of changes but then crashes in the background. When I'm trying to add one block it doesn't respond so, I close my tab and open it again and all my changes are gone.

This crash occurs after 10 to 20 changes in a flow

rabbah commented 6 months ago

@rebienk Sorry that you're encountering something like this. Are you using the browser or the desktop app?

rebienk commented 6 months ago

@rabbah I'm using the desktop app, to clarify it more.

So here is the Flow I have and want to keep:

All-changes

And this is the Flow after closing and opening:

changes-deleted

rabbah commented 6 months ago

Thanks - we'll have a look, can you confirm you're on the latest version of the desktop app?

rebienk commented 6 months ago

@rabbah Yes, I have the latest version: Screenshot 2024-03-04 at 17 55 35

@rebienk an upcoming postman app release contains a fix for this bug. The issue had to do with failures to sync changes. We've added support to allow you to retrieve locally saved changes when these errors are detected.
