Meaningless moving cursor at the end of the URL #13232

Is there an existing issue for this?

[X] I have searched the tracker for existing similar issues and I know that duplicates will be closed

Describe the Issue

The cursor jumps at the end of the request URL.

Steps To Reproduce

Step 1

This is the URL I have

Step 2

Selecting the text

Step 3

Starting to type (I want to replace the selected text). Suddenly the cursor jumps to the end after first character. It is very annoying.

Please do not move the cursor at the end of the line. It should stay within the selected block. It should behave like any other text editors behave.

Thank you for reporting this, i'm able to reproduce this issue, but albiet inconsistently. We'll have a look into this
