I found a workaround which I used for my current project however it's a bit time consuming. I exported my collection and then reimported it over and over. I then renamed each collection and deleted those requests that were't part of the new collection. There's no way to mass-delete requests so it was a lot of clicking in order to delete 100+ requests each time. However it's done and I've got what I want. A more elegant solution would be useful.
As mentioned earlier in the environments bug, I am figuring out ways to deal with more stuff. One of the first things I plan to add is sub-collections. This would help in organizing the requests in a better way. As the basic concept is the same, I guess all file/folder related actions will need to be added here to make collections as flexible as possible.
This isn't working for me, Chrome 34.0.1847.131 m -- I can only drag within collections, but not from one collection to another.
But +1 on @snarglefarg's suggestion to export/import -- sneaky trick...I was about to export them and manually change the GUIDs so it wouldn't cause collisions, but fortunately @a85 already handled that.
This isn't working for me either, I can only drag within collections, and not between collections. Is this suppose to still be working, or is there already a bug for this?

@DangChien This is already feasible, you can drag and drop your requests to any other collection.

In linux, what I do is to go where the collections files are kept, and move the according files to the correct collections (generally I copy / paste, then delete them later if all is ok) .
Drag and drop is not working for me on Mac in v1.28.0 :(

I would like the ability to move requests (one by one or in a group) to another collection.
As I built up my collection, I realized that I should have created multiple collections for better organization. Moving my existing requests to new collections would be a welcome addition.
