Custom Snippets #675

It would be GREAT if I could create my own custom snippets for Tests and Pre-request Scripts. I have some boilerplate test scripts that I use as a baseline for error testing and find myself copying and pasting the same script from other tests repeatedly. This would greatly improve my productivity!

same here. in the documentation there is a "Coming soon: Ability to add your own snippets!", is there any due date ? my team wants to go to another tool just because of the productivity problem on copy/paste same scripts again and again and it will be great to see this coming soon

Beyond the ability of adding custom snippets i would also like to have ability to remove unwanted snippets, i.e., give full control over the snippets

Ola @kunagpal - What is the latest update on this?

I was looking at using Postman/Newman for enterprise level testing 4 years ago however the inability to add custom test snippets, means test script maintenance is an absolute nightmare and we had to move to other frameworks. (Each postman saved request stores the test script in a single key/value pair in the json file)

It is a huge blocker, and as pretty much every developer at work has postman, this would be an ideal solution.

@konstad you won't get in trouble homie, and you never know, the postman team (may) incorporate it into the tool, regardless, you will make alot of people very happy!

I know a chap called Danny Dainton via Ministry of Testing who works with the postman team, so I will give him a nudge to look at it it too, and how they can incorporate it.
