Notify user when app is in full screen mode #6811

Describe the bug I'm unable to minimize, maximize or close the Postman (version 7.2.2) window as those buttons are not shown. Also the window cannot be dragged by clicking the title bar, keeping mouse button pressed and moving the mouse. When entering the window menu by pressing SHIFT+ALT+SPACE only the menu entries Minimize and Close are enabled, all others are disabled.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Starting Postman

Expected behavior I'd expect to see minimize, maximize and close button on the right side of the title bar and being able to drag the window.

I am also experiencing this with the same setup, but I would also like to add I am on windows 1903.

Also, the app does not show up when you drag another window to the edge and list of other windows are shown to select one for a side-side view. Finally, i tried the win+arrow to move the postman window, but it does not work either.

One more update: The taskbar is not show/or hidden when the postman window is active

Seems to be fixed with 7.3.2 (Also make sure you are not on full screen by toggling F11. Not sure if that was my original problem :grimacing: )

Yes, fixed for me too in canary 7.3.2.

I tried reproducing this setup, and it looks like the app has entered full screen. In the fullscreen mode, the maximize controls are hidden.

I was able to replicate this by entering the fullscreen mode by pressing F11 key on my device. The only option to exit was to press F11 again.

Postman App should probably communicate that it is in the fullscreen mode and display the key combination to exit the fullscreen mode.

Thanks, pressing F11 solved the issue for me. Didn't know I was in fullscreen mode - must have happend by accident.

Also, I'd expect any application to exit fullscreen mode upon closing.

@DonKonfetti Thanks for confirming that this works.

However, the Postman App needs to have the necessary state and communication when in the fullscreen mode.

I'm reopening this issue to track this.

FWIW, I got caught out by the full screen/F11 issue in v8.0.7. I would not expect the app to restart in full-screen mode after closing it.

I note that this issue is quite old now. Is it still planned to work on this?

v11.5.1 This problem is not solved, and it is too efficient.

If it weren't for a look on the Internet, I wouldn't know if it was because the F11 triggered the full screen.
