Definitely a big issue for me - The strange select cursor is very ugly and distracting, besides being difficult to see where the point is.
Thanks for reporting this. We are currently investigating this issue and will let you know when we have any updates.
Need to connect the gtk-3-themes plug. How to use the system GTK theme via the gtk-common-themes snap
This is happening with anything I installed with Snap. I installed Firefox and Chrome with Snap, so the cursor is this ugly side pointing one, but things I installed with apt
or by downloading them inherit the theme cursor.
I have never seen an uglier mouse cursor than this pointer one. I wonder why it exists at all.
Is there still no solution for this problem?
I have same problem. Snap using standard XAW theme as default. @dhitchcock suggested the right solution. Add the relevant plugs to snap file, in the end! It's already 2024!
If there is the solution when we can expect implementation of it in official release? maybe @mccannt ?
Any updates on this? Still seeing this problem, and with my high DPI setup, the cursor I get is tiny and difficult to see.
Bug description I have dark theme set in Ubuntu settings. Postman snap doesn't inherit this. Also, Postman snap doesn't use system "select" cursor. It uses some another cursor instead.
Linux version from official site (tar.gz package) doesn't have these issues. This version inherits dark theme and use my system "select" cursor.

Additional context This issue is not present in snap packages such as Telegram, Skype, Firefox, GIMP. The issue with cursor is also present in Spotify snap. This looks like a common snap issue but this doesn't affect all snaps.
