Feature Request: Assign colors / icons to tabs #9311

As a user I would find it useful to be able to:

  1. Assign a background color to tabs
  2. Assign an icon to tabs (colorblind-friendly)
  3. Assign a letter enclosed in a colored circle to tabs

In general I would find these features useful while juggling multiple projects. I could assign a color or an icon to each project and know at a glance which tab is related to what.

I too would like to be able to organize by color. I have user validation tabs, device call tabs, config calls, etc It would simplify my collections.

This would be an extremely useful feature for power users. Please consider adding it.
