I followed this project to setup my own, but ran into some issues that didn't give me access to the user when the auth middleware was being run on the server.

I found this post on StackOverflow that helped me figure out what I needed to do. I thought it would be nice for others if this extra context was added to the readme

Yeah. Please close the PR if you feel its unnecessary (and sorry for the bother!). There were just several service accounts listed by default in GCP and I couldn't figure out which one was needed the permission (for gen2)

It’s not a bother but I rather ask 😄. I think it’s better to propose Firebase some improvements (not sure how). Some parts are complicated. I guess they would benefit from video tutorials

I think as they continue to work on the experimental web framework deployment experience it might even just be something that is done automatically.
