I have the same problem. Downloading file that's posted to:
http://excel-connector.googlecode.com/files/SForce_Office_Toolkit_MSI.zip.
Don't get add-in file for Excel Connect.

It took much trial and error to find the right files. This was accurate as of
late June, hope it still works.

1. Visit
http://code.google.com/p/excel-connector/downloads/detail?name=SForce_Office_Too
lkit_MSI.zip&can=2&q= and install the Salesforce Office Toolkit.

2. Visit http://code.google.com/p/excel-connector/. Download pe_winter11.zip
file. Follow instructions on
http://code.google.com/p/excel-connector/wiki/Install to install this file in
Excel.

I think you may need to extract the .xla file from the downloaded .zip file.
If you try to install the add-in before extracting the .xla file, Excel won't
see the .xla file and instead it will look like the most recent file available
is the Office Toolkit. Hope this helps.

"Can't find project or library" error when opening Excel. I have Connect for
Office 1.8.1.2 and SFroce office Toolkit 4.0.0.10 installed. I am trying to
use Excel connector winter 11 version.

The file is listed in the downloads section but not referenced in the Wiki
Install - it's here
http://code.google.com/p/excel-connector/downloads/detail?name=sforce_connector_
ee_1603.zip&can=2&q=

"Can't find project or library"
Has that problem been fixed?

can't find project or library indicates that Excel cannot find the files that
are required, check the install steps again or the comments in this issue

I've installed the SForce_Office_Toolkit_MSI with no problem, but when trying
to install the add-in I get an error message:"sforce_connect.xla is not a valid
Office Add-in".
Any advice on how to solve this issue ??
