Overlapping arrows #54

In iTerm 2 (1.0.0.20131116) with oh-my-zsh, https://github.com/bling/vim-airline and the patched Menlo (13pt) fonts there are some strange edges at the top of the "arrows"

Is that related to the font?

I see this issue as well with the patched Inconsolata fonts. It looks like the arrows don't scale with the font size.

I'm having this issue with terminator/zsh/oh-my-zsh with the agnoster theme. I'm on Arch Linux. My arrow separator is also too big, although for me the corner is showing on the bottom, not the top. Is there any way to shrink the arrow?
