I'm currently building a similar switch, however I'm not sure on how to track the state when the hardware switch is used. Do I need to connect a wire from the hardware switch to the board as well?
I'm actually using a relay board specifically made for the esp01 (see link) I would love to hear how to set this part up since I'm not sure how to make sense of the schematics you posted.
