Materialize dropdown not working #4

I tried implementing dropdown using http://materializecss.com/navbar.html#navbar-dropdown to no avail. I couldn't see any visible changes to the DOM.

I found out a little bit more about this. I was hiding the button with the data-activates attribute before the body template was rendered. I'll see if I can work around the materialize framework a bit more.
