double notification sound with messaging app notification sound disabled, messaging app open causes it to happen. #406

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. notifications/sounds off in stock messaging 
2. Leaving messaging app open with screen on or off
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Getting double notification sound even though messaging app sound is off.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Newest version of SMS pop-up. Running official CM10.1 on Verizon Samsung Galaxy 
S3
