Partially resolved with: 7a4a0469bff99926eff8c8a0b5fe678ff329647d, and with jLinda functionality for Simulation of Amplitude 173f1b2a41eed1f3f1f8bf6828d4852fa4236540 , from which math and semantics are used in computation of geometric offsets.

Known issues:

stats are computed for (residual)=(dem.off)-(corr_opt.off). This can cause confusion. However, dem offsets are deterministic, and these stats are valid, since they represent stats of the stochastic component (corr_opt.off) of the residual.
demNoDataValue not handled in the smartest way.
