Please avoid making assumptions (it has nothing to do with api or otherwise).
It looks like a submission was not even attempted. This means that osu! does not thing it was a ranked beatmap. Do you have song select set to local leaderboard? Did you import the maps weirdly? Have you manually touched any of osu!'s database files?
I do not have song select set to local leaderboard. I imported beatmaps by dragging them into the game. Most of my maps didn't have their scores "processed" yet even after doing an F5 refresh for processing beatmaps. So when I sort by "rank achieved" it doesn't sort properly yet until a leaderboard is loaded by clicking on it. I always wait for the leaderboard to load before playing any maps to make sure the map is updated and the status I expect it to be. I have not touched the database files manually. This seems to be a problem when I'm retrying maps a lot that's why I thought it might've been something like that. Also this might be related to a screenshot problem I used to have, where uploading screenshots and/or saving replay would break the score submission. Just an idea
All I can say for sure is that the game thinks the beatmap is not ranked. Would be useful to see this in context of retries and with song select (in a video clip).
I recorded a session and this may or may not be what it was: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/560901870?t=04h53m11s 4:53:11 shows leaderboard loaded, then i go into editor 4:53:45 shows latest ranked version, i go into editor again because i wanted to check bpm changes again 4:54:46 exit editor to reveal Unknown Status 4:55:05 reload global ranking to fix it It only happened once and I immediately noticed it and circled around it with my cursor. I didn't try to submit a score with it because it was a marathon, but i think it's safe to say it probably wouldn't have submit. Only thing I did was open the Timing tab and open the Timing Setup Panel and scroll down the list of Timing and Control Points. No edits were made. Maybe because I exited the song select in mapping mode too fast it didn't load a status, then when entering the Play mode song select it didn't have a status. I tried reproducing the Unknown Status with the same map and other maps but I can't get it to fail again
Entering the editor will reset a beatmap's status, correct. If you then try to play the beatmap too fast after doing so, it will not submit because the beatmap will be considered not-ranked.
I'd suggest not using the editor when you are trying to submit scores.
I'm having the same issue with all my beatmaps. None of them submit scores unless I go into the editor and reupdate the map. Is there a fix for this?
Did you do anything to your osu! files (use a third party app or something)?
No I did not modify anything to the files whatsoever.
hi peppy, this happened to me just now, in my case, whenever I played one of the difficulties of this map https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/1061287#osu/2222070 for the first time, the score did not upload, so I had to replay the map and then the new score will be submitted. Of course I'm not saying the beatmap is the culprit or anything, just giving context in what happened.
Osu was closed, so when I downloaded the beatmap and then opened it from the downloads, osu launched and imported the beatmap, I logged in, then played the first 3 difficulties, the issue kept happening, so I just closed osu and entered again.
In this case I believe it is by what you mentioned about osu not recognizing the beatmap as ranked, maybe because osu didnt have time to open and scan the new beatmap.
Hi, I am experiencing the same issue as well. It happens at random occasions when leaderboards are set to local, but the last time it happened to me, it was on that map: https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/393273#osu/900631
I experience the same blank ranking screen as @GrilledCheeese. My osu! install is fresh and I haven't tampered with the database or anything.
Cheers
Hi I am also experiencing the same issue's well. I set a play a few days ago and it didn't set as a play and i didn't get any Score, PP, Rank, Accuracy nothing? it shows in my Local Scores but it never updated? I'm not sure what this means but i have so many plays on the map 2nd most played!!! and I've deleted it several times, i don't know if that does anything? That score was really good and I don't want to lose out on it ;-; . . .I haven't done anything to anything file wise. i really appreciate the help In advance^^
im so glad other people are having the same issue i looked online and couldn't find anyone until now. I have already emailed osu support but they just sent me a link to diagnose the issue which none of them work but yeah one of the scores that failed to submit was literally my top play or at least my second top play so im very mad
Same thing happened to me. It happened first after I got BSOD, could it be connected somehow? I tried all versions (stable, beta and cutting edge) none of them fixed it, i managed to submit one score just now, but the other ones are lost
I've had at least 3 scores not submit in the past 2 hours and I have no clue what the cause is. Maybe I quit the song at the end too soon by pressing ESC after the last note preventing it from submitting. Or I'm submitting too many scores / failed scores in a row while also having my discord bot using the osu api occassionaly Screenshot of what it looks like when it's not submitting: As you can see I was connected to bancho without any connection issues, it also doesn't give me any errors saying it's trying to submit. It just flat out doesn't submit to begin with like I'm playing offline. Let me know if you need any kind of log files or anything while I keep playing for the next few hours. Using cutting edge version of february 26th
