Essentially, I think it would be cool if users could get the chance to explore what a leaderboard may have looked like several years ago.
With how much history this game has, there's always been plenty of interest in examining how legendary maps like airman have been mastered by the community over the years, and this feels like a cool way to support that interest. This also allows players to go back and find famous scores that have been pushed out of the top 50 by new talent.
I envision this working like a slider that you can adjust from both sides, filtering both new and old scores to look at only what has been submitted in a specific time window. Something like this:
The biggest issue is that overwritten scores obviously wouldn't be available to display, but I still think this feature would be cool even without them. This also opens the door to more types of leaderboard filters for accuracy or performance points, but that's ultimately a different discussion.
