The new updated star rating system for standard mode increased the star rating requirements for each difficulty icon
Normal is 2-2.7, hard is 2.7 to 4, extra is above 5.3*, etc
This is fine for standard mode, but the change makes icon spreads for other modes worse.
In osu!catch, it's almost impossible for a hard diff to go above 3.5
When insanes go above 4.8, they generally become classified experts and require another lower difficulty rain for spread purposes.
Having the icons thresholds further from the game mode's general difficulty boundary results in more mislabelled difficulties.
It is silly that because standard mode had balance changes, that other modes are having their difficulty icons changed.
I'm not sure about taiko and mania, but osu!catch needs lowered difficulty boundaries.
I would be up to get more community feedback on exact numbers for difficulty thresholds + for other modes too if adding mode specific difficulty icons would be acceptable for the dev team.
