I really like this adapter so I took a stab at updating it for Vue 3, I'm giving this a confidence level of 'it totally works in my projects'. Some of the existing code might have become superfluous, but it didn't seem to cause any harm either. I couldn't find any other way to share this than to create a pull request, even though you probably wouldn't want to merge 'as-is'.
