Unable to Remap any Keys -- Ventura Update #3293

I took a look through the open issues and don't believe this specific error is open in one of the issues.

After upgrading to Ventura and then updating Karabiner to 14.10.0 the application no longer registers any key remappings. I tried doing OS restarts and several uninstalls/reinstalls (of Karabiner) but I am unable to remap the right arrow key to fn -- furthermore; the HHKB2 remapping (specifically the "HHKB-like arrow and page control" mapping) doesn't work with the default fn key. I also tried to remap some misc keys to test if it was just these combinations but none of those remappings register in the EventViewer

I loved the simplicity and effectiveness of Karabiner and would like to get to the bottom of this bug, any information to debug or potential solutions would be a massive help -- thank you!

like magic we found a fix -- one needs to enable the seemingly unrelated Manipulate caps lock LED toggle in the Devices menu of the GUI. This completely fixed my problem although I have no clue why (since the caps lock LED isnt directly called in any of my personal remappings)
