Karabiner Elements "mouse_motion_to_scroll" is jumpy #3298

Hi I'm using the modification from https://ke-complex-modifications.pqrs.org/#mouse_motion_to_scroll with a Kensington trackball mouse. It does work, but the scroll motion is not perfectly 'coupled' to the motion of the trackball. It sometimes scrolls a small amount and then jumps at other times.

Is there a way to remedy this? Thanks!

Is it because the trackball can move in all directions, but the mapping to a scroll function only looks at the 'up-down' aspect of the trackball motion?

Any solution @lien15305 ? I am using a Logitech Trackman Marble with the same Complex Modification and having the same issue. Inconsistent scroll amount and lack of smooth scrolling.
