Team's Response

Hi, thank you for your report of this issue. This is indeed desired behaviour of QuickCache's import function. We decided that we only wanted the import the questions of the flashcards and not the statistics, as the primary use case of the import and export function is for sharing flashcards with your friends. As the file can be from your friends, their statistics are not relevant to the user importing them.

As such, we will be rejecting this issue, and downgrading the severity to VeryLow as the issue does make any mention in what way this seems to be a feature flaw as well.

 Issue response

Team chose [response.Rejected]

Reason for disagreement: Their UG specifies that the export feature is to back up your data or to share with friends. There is no mention that the exported data will not include statistics.

This is inconsistent with their reasoning that We decided that we only wanted the import the questions of the flashcards and not the statistics, as the primary use case of the import and export function is for sharing flashcards with your friends. They aren't addressing the fact that their UG said the feature is also used for backups. If i want to back up my files for myself, I would definitely expect my statistics to be backed up. Since it is not mentioned that statistics are not exported, it is natural to assume that they will be.

I feel that the issue with this is quite obvious. I already gave some reasons in the section where I disagreed with their rejection. But to add on, the criteria for a feature flaw is

From this list, it is quite clear that points 1 and 3 are issues. 1 is an issue because the export feature does not export statistics. 3 is an issue because that defeats the purpose of an export feature that serves a dual purpose (to back up) as specified in their UG.
