Update with yum and s3fs stops working

I updated to the latest version available for my distro using yum and when 
invoking "ls" or "ll" the mounting point dies because connection closes with 
the message:

s3 ls: reading directory .: Software caused connection abort

I tried back with older versions and releases and the r486 is working well

Version of fuse being used (pkg-config --modversion fuse):2.9.3

System information (uname -a): Linux ip-10-168-35-136 3.4.68-59.97.amzn1.x86_64 
#1 SMP Tue Nov 5 07:40:09 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Distro (cat /etc/issue): Amazon Linux AMI release 2013.09 

s3fs command line used (if applicable): s3fs -o allow_other -o uid=500 -o 
gid=500 XXXXXXXXXX /mnt/s3-cdn
