So generally with npm you can install anything from github using the path
in github, for instance npm install --save praece/sails-bookshelf#1.2.1
.
That being said this isn't really ready for prime time. We use it
internally, but the docs are a little rough and it has some features that
are really specific to our workflow. I need to put some time into it for it
to be usable, but I just haven't had time yet.

PS. and if I'm allowed to make a suggestion: I imagine a lot of people [or enough a few individuals] would appreciate someone joining forces with SailsJS team and empowering the option to swap the default ORM with Bookshelf JS while still maintaining the shipped user, etc functionalities ...
