Monk: Way of the Gravity Bender

I'd love to have a take on the gravity manipulation concept in our setting, it feels in-theme. The closest published thing is Matt's graviturgy wizard, but it feels a little underpowered and not quite the idea I have.

I think local modifications of gravity fit super well with the already-mobile monk. So a subclass for that would be dope!

Core Ability: Lashing ripoff. If you haven't read the stormlight archive (i'm only mostly through book 1), a core mechanic of one of the characters is the "lashing". It has three types of different strength, and allow you to "lash" yourself and others/objects by changing the local direction of gravity. Thus, you could lash yourself to the wall, or ceiling, etc.

I love this mechanic, and think a monk could use it super creatively. My idea is to have it be a ki-powered ability, and some are bonus action and others are action (or reaction). Over time, the scope of what one can lash, and for how long, increases.

Other flavorful gravity stuff could also be sprinkled in. I think it could be explained both as an arcana thing (monks channeling energy to do it) and also a technologic thing (this order of monks developed a device that allow them to do it, and only they are well-trained enough to use said device).
