Modifications in Viz

In priority order:

Adding context on Line Chart:

Mobile: on tap Show Percent Happy Percent Sad with Emoji on line chart

• No need to make this happen on every point on the graph, just on the data points. They'll be 30 seconds appart, won't matter much. To let user know which points they can tap on, show data points on the graph. (see wireframe)

Bubble 'on tap' interaction:

• Can we make the emoji appear at the same y-coordinate as the Bubble? On tapping a bubble, it's tough to understand context and information. (Wireframe: https://goo.gl/photos/WJLuRHPno49vvJCP9)
• Need to extend the time from 5 seconds to 10 seconds.
• Can we copy Twitter's tweet viewer design to display tweets? See wireframe.

To calculate time: We know when tweet was posted, we know when match was started. Subtract to get time. (Relevant for Football ONLY)

For Timeline:

• Need to fix incons and how to fetch them programatically
• Need to modify event card design depending on the data we are getting from the API

I'll update the timeline waala part with wireframes after discussing it with Harsha.

I was wondering how best we could do knowledge transfer process in the best work. Thought over and realized that I learn a lot by just:

• copying and pasting things that work on the internet.
• seeing them work -> gives me validation that okay this is not impossible.
• then figuring out the nuts and the bolts of the process.

So for this issue, I have coded out most of the frontend implementations that the issue desires here: http://prastutkumar.design/idc-work-viz/?work

I propose:

• Clone the standalone example viz repo.
• Preferably run a local dev server to serve the lines. python2.7 -m SimpleHTTPServer 5000 works best for me.
• Then go through the code by inspecting elements in Chrome of where what is happening. Try to copy these and implement it in the frontend ie. this repo.
• This way you will have small small tasks that you can execute and see for yourself how things are working out inside the viz.
