On restart, settings are not saved. #9

On exiting Firefox (v18.0.1) and restarting the computer, the settings revert back to default values instead of the ones I set.

hi bsod, is it only happening when you restart you computer? or, even when you restart your Firefox (without restarting computer)?

ghost commented 11 years ago

It seems to happen only when I restart the computer. Maybe I one of my many other add-on's is interfering. I use 21 add-ons of which, three are security related (Adblock Plus, Adblock Element hider, and Ghostery). But I've already tried disabling them all after a computer restart and the same problem exists. But also I know just disabling those three security measures do not fully disable them because on one of my sites which allows me to post images from my own computer, the script to browser my computer files does not activate even with all three security add-on's disabled. Somehow Firefox is disabling the script from running and even when I add that page as an exception it refuses to run so I open the page in MSIE and it works fine.
