Captcha image not displaying #19

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download the PHP Captcha files
2. Upload the files to a web server (such as http://localhost)
3. Open the example-form.php file, and see what happens..

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No captcha image at all.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.3 on OS X 10.6.2.

Please provide any additional information below.

This issue can be addressed by (re)activating PHP and (re)installing GD 
graphics on your web server.

Same problem here. I am using the free 000webhost provider and I know another 
php captcha is working ok on the same server.

The scripts work ok on my local machine but not on a remote server meaning that 
the provider have put restriction against certain files or folders.

We have no control over their php configuration file. In fact the below captcha 
works on the remote server.
