Closed headerbidding closed 5 years ago
I don't see much enthusiasm about server-side header bidding. One of my ad networks (District M) suggested it. Is it worth doing?
We have just turned it off completely and moved back to client-side bidding. Cookie sync and match is terrible, and it reflects not only lower CPM. Retargeting campaigns don't match user device, quality of the ads is worse, bigger clients don't tag the audience, etc. etc. We've been experimenting with s2stesting module, and can tell that income difference is twice, at least from global networks like Rubicon. Another disadvantage is that adapter list is quite limited, and if you can't move at least 3-4 vendors to S2S bidding (and leave them on client-side bidding), latency improvement becomes minor.
Thank you MariJus!

Description
I am considering moving from Prebid client-side header bidding to Prebid server-side header bidding.
I have read that the advantages are shorter latency and the disadvantages are sometimes lower CPM (due to lowers cookie match rates)
What has been your experience so far with Prebid server-side header bidding?
