We currently have the feature that the sidebar is sticky: it does not scroll with the page, so you can always easily go to other pages, without losing context.
However, for long sidebars and small windows, this is an issue: the tail of the sidebar is not visible.
As a possible solution, we could decide whether the sidebar is potentially too long, and make it non-sticky. The downside would be that it would be a bit surprising for the user when the sidebar is actually sticky and when not. But it would probably be not too painful.
