4 months ago I was able to call Richard back. We tested this under a variety of settings (camera connected, camera disconnected, wifi/bluetooth on and off, airplane mode on and off). Every time he clicks the Researcher mode button on the home screen, he says the screen "blinks" and nothing happens, keeping him on the home screen. He is able to reach the metadata screen on the Farmer mode, but not Researcher mode.
I noted that it appears he has a smaller 8" tablet (This tablet is GA-P3TZ on esper, model SM-T577U.) He says that he doesn't see a build version number under the red buttons, which makes me wonder if this is something that is not visible on the smaller tablets. Could this be an issue with the app being optimized for the larger tablets instead? I have only used it on a large tablet @marialauracangiano @saseehav
User at the PMC in Georgia cannot access researcher mode in the PlantMap3D app. I installed the most recent version of the PM3D app (1.0.17-field) on 2/12/24. The next day, I received a call from this user saying that they can't get in to researcher mode whenever they click the "researcher" button on the main screen.
