Siphon displays the name with rules :
- 1st, look for in address book if the number is defined
- 2nd, uses the name if it's defined in SIP URL
- 3rd, uses the number/user if it's defined in SIP URL
- 4th, anonymous

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain the problem well.
Siphon shows the contact correctly.
I'll try, to expplaine it better
My iphone SIM Card phone number is saved in all 3 phones as contact and in my
voipdiscount profile as contact number.
3 devices:
#1 nokia mobile phone
#2 iphone with siphone
#3 PC with voipdiscount softphone
When I call from #3 to #1 (SIP). #1 shows incomming call from #2 (correct
though I
saved #2 as voipdiscount contact nr)
When I call from #2 to #1 (SIP). #1 shows incomming call from UNKNOWN and that
is my
problem. I don't know currently if it is a bug or a misconfiguration of siphone.
Hope I was something clearer this time

I suppose you defined these settings:
Username : mouch.net
Server : sip.voipdiscount.com
PWD : ????
Stun Server and Stun Domain :194.221.62.209
When your PC softphone receive a call from Siphon (iPhone), it look for
mouch.net in
your address book. It doesn't find it, so it displays UNKNWON.
You can try to define :
- Auth. Username with your account
- username with your phone nr.
But I don't think it will work. I tried with my voipbuster account, and I have
the
same issue. Maybe voipbuster, voipdiscount hide the account.

to setup outbound caller id from siphon
go to settings and enter the caller id number that is authorized by your sip
provider where it says "Username."
then open advanced settings and enter your login username for your sip account
as
your "Auth. Username"
then your username phone number will show up on the phones you call and your
auth
username will be used to connect to the sip provider.

Thanks a lot for mfre...@woh.rr.com for the steps (which are actually just the
samething as samuel said), but it didn't work on my end, with voipraider.
Is there anything else to configure under advanced settings?
voipraider actually works without those settings, but then id caller gets
wrong. If I
use voipraider client on windows, caller id works fine. So it is some
configuration,
and maybe there is currently no option on siphon to make it work.
I tried analysing the logs, but I don't know enough to find what could be
wrong. The
log.txt is the one configured as advised to try and make caller id work.
