Enable the use of latex, footnote & glossary shortcodes within image captions #159

Feature Description

Currently, shortcodes cannot be nested within other shortcodes. Enable certain shortcode elements to function when added to text within an image caption shortcode.

Feature Use Case

Users have requested the ability to add footnotes or glossary tool tips within a media caption (and citations, if or when that feature becomes available). This feature would benefit all users on all networks, and would get most use out of academic texts.

Supporting shortcodes within shortcodes could also be useful in the other direction, i.e. allowing images to work within footnotes and/or glossary terms.

There are a few remaining cases that we'd like to cover/support:

  1. LaTeX in glossary entries
  2. LaTeX within media captions
  3. Footnotes within media captions
  4. Glossary terms within media captions
  5. Media in footnotes?

We are interested in having footnotes appear when nested in columns to support a textbook project that we're working on.
