Create “publisher statement” in copyright section of book info #206

Feature Description

Create a mechanism by which Pressbooks network managers can apply a generic 'publisher statement' that would automatically appear on all book homepages as well as on or near the copyright page of exports (rather than being manually added to books individually).

Feature Use Case

Possible use cases (just a few I can think of offhand)

  1. To provide context on the methodology used to produce books on a network.
  2. To add a statement where the institution making a network available to authors is not actively acting as publisher of those authors’ content.
  3. To credit a funding organization who supported the creation of the OER on a network.
  4. To point people to the person managing an institution’s OER program in the event they have questions or confusion about the content - how do I print this, is this the most recent version, I found an error, etc.
  5. Other?

Other Notes

I believe this would be especially useful to consortial networks and networks that have whitelisted registration. I believe it would also be useful to Pressbooks, as we get a lot of questions that should not go to us from people mistaking us as the publisher.

+1 - this would be really useful for us as we change our strategy with the Rebus Press!

This is important to us, for all the reasons Liz outlined.

I propose we create a new text entry field for "Publisher Statement" in the copyright section just beneath the 'copyright notice' field of Book Info. This field should provide users with a rich text editor (just like the current 'Copyright notice' field). When provided, this information should appear in the metadata section of book homepages and on the copyright page of export files. Once this has been created, we should implement https://github.com/pressbooks/pressbooks-network-analytics/issues/63

Steel, this sounds good, thanks. I'd just want to be able to "lock it in" for every project on the network (rather than have it be something editable per project).
