The Pressbooks admin interface has a wide variety of menus in the top nav bar, some of which only apply for super admins/network managers, and others which contain links to features like 'my catalog' which are no longer places we want to send and direct users.
In addition, each of these menus loads a new 'dashboard' -- for the network itself, for the network root site, and/or for an individual book. The similarity of each of these dashboards (and their complexity) often leads to confusion and can be a major pain point, especially for new network managers.
We want to simplify the navigation menus and dashboard links so that they provide a cleaner, smoother, more enjoyable experience for all users. Both the top nav bar and the left hand 'dashboard menus' in scope for research & refinement.
