Presto Documentation having a few branding issue for ASF software #16271

Hi PrestoDB team,

I'm Seunghyun who is PPMC/Committer for Apache Pinot (incubating). We found that there are a few branding issues for ASF software in the Presto documentation.

According to the Apache branding guideline, Apache projects need to be documented as Apache Pinot instead of Pinot. The only instance to not include Apache in front is when the project name is mentioned a second time and beyond in the body of an article or document.

Here is a list of examples that have branding issues:

  1. https://prestodb.io/docs/current/connector/pinot.html
  2. https://prestodb.io
  3. https://prestodb.io/faq.html

fixed references on 1, it requires to wait for the next release to reflect. For 2,3 I don't see any issue with it.

Please note that similar issue exist with other Apache trademark including Accumulo, Cassandra, Druid, Hive, Iceberg, Kafka, Kudu, Thrift and probably others. This FAQ should help explain what is required https://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/faq/

@snleee I think you can close this issue as all Apache Pinot related branding issue is fixed.

Hi @justinmclean,

Suggest asking every PMC member for other relevant Apache projects to create a GitHub issue similar to this and address it.
