Windows 7 64-bit Binary Probably Miscompiled in Debug Mode #11

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Downloaded paping_1.5.5_x86-64_windows.zip from the Downloads page.
2. Extracted.
3. Ran paping.exe
4. Received paping.exe - System Error: The program can't start because
MSVCP100D.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to
fix the problem.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected output: Usage/command-line arguments help for paping.exe
Actual output: Windows error specified above.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Product version: Windows 7 64-bit binary.
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Please provide any additional information below.

It would appear that the 64-bit Windows binary currently available from the
Downloads page has been compiled in Debug instead of Release mode.

I have successfully compiled a 64-bit Release build of this program in VS 2012
Express. It has been tested on a 64-bit machine running Windows 8.1 and .NET
Framework 4.0. If anyone is still interested, I wonder if we could get the
original poster's permission to re-upload, or if we'd be okay doing it as a
separate project crediting the author.

I still get the "MSVCP100D.dll missing" error with paping_updated.exe on W2K8R2
(with .NET 4 Extended installed). :-(

On WinPE 64 Bit there's no error message, but no output at all.
