If this does not start up as a service, will it start up at all?
And if not, will Prey functions work? If not, pls update Prey asap.
Thanks
Hi, Nadim,
Did you install Prey as administrator? I have successfully installed it here on Windows 7 x64 before deploying, will retry. Also, are you installing it for the first time or reinstalling it?
I had tried both (as admin as well)
And I reinstalled it. Basically, Prey uninstalls the old version, then installs the new version.

A-ha! Here is the issue!
https://github.com/blog/1302-goodbye-uploads
We usually released our source code via GitHub Downloads, but it's not working anymore. Hence, our latest updates went somewhere else (don't know where, but will certainly be something we can control rather than depending on another service). All users should uninstall Prey and install the new version instead of depending on the autoupdate feature (which is odd, because we wanted to release the node client with this in mind).
Sorry, and thanks in advance for the help.
Hi
When I install Prey 0.5.10, I get the error message, which is attached.
Windows 7 x64
Please look into this. Thanks
