Hi everyone,
im running prey 0.6.0 on my ubuntu 13.04 64bit machine.
Few days ago something strange happened to my computer. Noone was sitting in front of it (nighttime), it rebooted automatically. In the morning i found the login screen. I had an email from prey that notified me about a hardware change on my computer. So i went on my panel and saw that the ram was gone (from 2 modules installed, now i had 0).
The computer was awake, so i ran a mentest86+ to check for ram defects, it passed with no errors.
Then i looked in the /var/log but it seemed to be all good.
Then i said.. okk, i'm paranoid, it happened once, it will never happen again.
Few days later i was working on darktable (a raw photo manipulation program) and the same happened again.
The computer reboots and i get a prey report with the same issue. The ram banks went from 2 to 0 (no ram installed). But when it turned on again i could use it, the ram wasn't gone.
Is it a problem of prey? In the italian ubuntu forum they think it could be.
