The functionality uses the same configuration parameter "background-image" as currently employed for single images. If the parameter ends with a "/" it is assumed that the path is a folder and not a file. If this is the case, the files inside of the folder are searched and all matches with an image extension are saved. Once all folder images have been found, one is randomly selected and assigned to the "config->background_image" variable, which is then later used to load the image as usual.
