Models are repos with checkpoint files that are used by service images.
Each service is responsible for knowing what models it supports and how to obtain the required files internally. (In other words, you should be able to run the service without Blackfish). Users are responsible for knowing what models work with a service.
Within Blackfish, we can use configuration files to constrain the set of available models and provide default resource options within a deployment or on a given platform.
For example, on Della the set of available models might be constrained to those that have been pre-downloaded to a shared model directory, and the configuration could provide optimized resources for each model.
