I only hesitate to do GPL because I dont understand the implications. The code
is open source so you
could easily take the code and make your own version that is any license you
want couldn't you? Can I
just update the info inthis google code site? Would that be enough?

I think only the copyright owner can do that.
I've attached a patch you could add which would effectively dual license it
(and yeah you'd need to add an extra
license on the google code site).

Okay, here's the problem. The original PHP license stuff came from the original
authors of the lib. The license here on Google Code is MIT. I don't think I can
change the original license text, because I didn't write it.
