Doesn't work, but idk what im doing. Dumb it down for me #104

So I'm trying to get this bot to work via steam, downloaded the 2.052 release, extracted the file, and the steam zip, and added the CookieBot folder to the local folder where the game is installed, and it doesnt seem to be working? I've been looking over the FAQs and the issues, and i get that its waiting for true neverclick, but shouldnt the bot display what is happening when you hover over the version at the bottom left? I'm not getting that, or any indication the the bot was successfully injected. I've tried opening the game with the bot in the local folder, nothing, tried opening the main.js file while the game is open, nothing. I've even seen golden cookies spawn myself without them being clicked, I'm clearly missing something since its working for everyone else, I just dont know what, any ideas?

never mind, i did everything right but i just never enabled it in the options menu, clearly ive never played this before and hopefully this can help some other dumbass who didnt know
